Im looking at getting a tactical shotgun and ive been looking at two kinds, the mossberg 500 and the remington 870. I like their look and i shot the mossberg before and liked it and i like the look of them. anything else you think i should look at?

The debate for this is endless…
The are other choices out there, but if you are looking to upgrade parts and make it tactical, the 500 and the 870 are the best ways to go because there are a MILLION parts for them. Try not to put too much on it though. The more stuff you put on it, the heavier it gets, and the less useful all the cool stuff you bought will be.
I prefer the 500 because the controls are better positioned.
If you MUST get something else, look into the Benelli Supernova. If you got $1200 to spend, get a SPAS-12. It weighs a ton, but you’ll probably love it.

Well I’ve got a Remington 870 Express Magnum, and I love that bad boy! The Mossberg’s are a little cheaper, but I gotta go with my 870!
If you’re looking for other suggestions, I like the Bennelli Nova as well. It’s a little more pricey, but I wouldn’t mind having one.

The 870 is used by law enforcement almost nation wide, but I prefer the mossberg 500 persuader. It is cheaper and just as capable of anything the remington is. The only difference is the name recognition to non-gun enthusiasts.

i love the remington 870. its a great shotgun. the mossberg 500 is a great shotgun too . but if i were to buy one of the two i would get the remington the name alone tells it all.

If you can find one, a Benelli M4 with a Dave’s Metal Works 7 round tubular magazine. I have about 1600 bucks tied up in mine.
