What is my J. Stevens Double Barrel Shotgun worth?

December 28th, 2009 by eranio

12 ga. side by side. Right side says; J. Stevens Arms Company-Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA-(with#)5100. Left side says; STEVENS with an engraving of a bird dog. Top of barrel says; Selected Forged Steel and Proof Tested-12 Gauge-2 3/4 inch Chamber-. Doesn’t have a wood stock, it’s plastic. It’s a family piece and all the information on the gun has been lost. Please help me out.

Likely $300 dollars or less due to the plastic stock.

Sounds like a 311… a very nice one should bring around $300 in a retail situation.

Stevens was an early producer of plastic furniture for shotguns… they made wooden stocks also… but most I’ve seen look like birch to me.

Those are very good shooting -using double guns… hard to break and parts are still around if you do.

A Minimum of $350.00 and Up depending on what Grade, Gauge, and Condition.* 16 & 20 Gauges in this Model are even more valuable.*..
