never used a cleaning kit in all the years i have shot and all my guns are in pristean condition,
Cleaning rods
Tin or oil
Tin of WD 40
Tub of vasaline
old cloth
cotton wool buds.
Just about all of thes can be found in a tipical british house hold, So what ever your equivalents are to theas.

The are several good suppliers. For example:
Outers
Kleen Bore
GunMaster
Hoppes
Bore Snake
Try hitting Cabelas or Bass Pro shops website. My advice is don’t try to pinch pennies on this investment. You hve spent thousands your on firearms. spending on a good cleaning kit is a good investment. You only have to make that investment once. So, get a good one. I have found that there is no one prearranged kit that has everything I need. So, over the years I have had to buy a few add on items here and there. Like when new calibers come out. Use good solvents, and brushes. Finish it off with light coat of good oil, and your guns will last for a long time. You will be rewarded when they function well when needed, and you can hand them down to a child or grandchild someday.
By the way if you can get a "Bore Snake" for your shotgun, they are great. I highly recommend them. I have one for all my calibers. They are fast, and they get the job done.
best regards and shoot safely and responsibly.

spend spend spend. if you go hunting due you take 1 round? no you take as much ammo that you can carry and that your 1 ton pickup can carry if you due it right when your done all the ammo is gone and your truck is full of trophys for the stomach.
buy 2 or 3 different kits. they should have all most
the same supplies, the nitro solvent patches, bore brushes, gun oil blueing, get wd 40 its good I use it and I used it in my M 16-a1 when I was in the speical forces. after NAM, just A LITTLE SALVADORAN and NICARUGAN and hunting pablo.

I’d go with the Kleen bore kit for home use ($15), and carry a bore snake($12) in the field. They’re awesome! Otis also makes a really nice kit, even better than the boresnake for $20.
