what is the best way to remove scratch’s from my shotgun?

i have a shotgun and on the loading tube their are some scratch’s. what is the best yet cheap way to remove these scratch’s?

    It depends on the finish and how severe they are. If it is only cosmetic "spider webs", a jeweler’s rouge would due it. Something more extreme would call for 000 steel wool or 00 steel wool.

    This may sound funny but a banana gets scratches out of the back of a ipod so i guess a banana!

    Steel wool with some gun oil, but if your really worried about it, take it down to your local gunsmith.

    personally I would not do anything.

    if it is a using shotgun you will get more scratches next time you use it. If i understand you correctly the "scratches: are nothing more than wear marks from cycling the slide. Getting in a sweat about them will just spoil your digestion.

    So go buy another case of shells, a case of clay birds and go put some more scratches on you magazine tube.
