Just keep it clean and oiled and you are good to go. You could probably fire 500 rounds through it before it needs a cleaning but when it gets hard to move the action or extract rounds, it needs to be cleaned. Take it apart and oil it before you take it to the range the first time. Take the barrel off every no and then and run a bore snake through it with a cleaner like Hoppe’s 9 and then oil it a little.
It really doesn’t take much maintenance to keep it good. some people like to clean after every range session and others only clean when it gets pretty dirty.

This is the same weapon that i recently upgraded to. Here is a link for a website that show you how to maintain remington shotguns.

The usual. Use a barrel brush first with your rod. they run the jag and patch down the barrel wetted in Hoppes 9 or Shooters choice. Then run a dry patch down a couple times. Repeat with the wetted patch and then the two dry patches. Do this until patch is comes out clean. At least every 50 rounds you need to clean the action by removing the trigger assemply that is held in by two pins which need driven out by a wood dowel or what I use a blunted pencil. Pull out the trigger assembly and clean with light gun oil. Use a rag, cotton, wetted with light gun oil and wipe the inside of the action to clean out the dust and blowback particles of the weapon. Some people will say you can go for years without cleaning the action but not if you want a weapon you can hand down to your kids.
