Although we recommend the use of .2g BB’s in this gun, this gun packs a serious punch of over 300 fps with .12 polished BB’s. DO NOT USE LOW GRADE BB’s IN THIS GUN, IT WILL DAMAGE THE BARREL CAUSING LOSS OF ACURACEY
This gun allows the use of .12g, .2g or .25 BB’s, with an effective range of 110 – 130 feet.
Let’s first look at weight. I use .20 gram bbs in my shotgun. The .12 grams, while giving you the highest speed, are the least accurate. They are easily affected by wind and they usually aren’t the highest quality.
Now as to quality of bb, the better your quality, the less variance you will have between shots. While you don’t need to use the most expensive brands, try to find ones that are polished and consistently round. Matrix & Stealth seem to be decent brands for use in a lower priced shotgun.
