    Your in luck! —-

You don’t have to spend a fortune to get a top quality defense shotgun….

    Consider a Mossberg 500 Persuader / Cruiser model…..

    This one is a 6 shot model….. Catalog # 50440 — Under $400 at most dealers….

Others may suggest the Remington 870… Avoid those!… They are great for hunting but not the best for defense… Heres why….

Benelli shotguns are very nice tactical shotguns, they often have pistol grips and some version are even semi-automatic. But they can be expensive, they are top of the line.
or like the guy above me says, mossberg 500s are also very nice.

they sell some remington 870 self defense/tactical shotguns at big five. they hold at least 6 because my express holds 5 with out a plug and its not a tactical. those 870 tacticals have a pistol grip and shortened barrel, they are black. i know for a fact that 870s are great, mine never, NEVER, jams and i dont know if iv ever cleaned it and im sure the tactical has the same reciever. great guns and they are cheap!

The Mossberg Mariner models are especially nice because they’re made with a lot of non-corrosive parts, which would keep the maintenance down to a minimum.
