What’s a good 12 gauge tactical shotgun that can shoot 3 1/2″ shells?
I’m looking for something with both a pistol grip and stock, has between a 20" – 24" barrel, and can shoot 3 1/2" shells.
I currently own a Remington 870 tactical shotgun, but it only accepts up to 3" shells. I’m looking to sell it to help pay for a better shotgun.
I really want a shotgun that can be used for home defense as well as to hunt deer and turkey with.
I guess what I’m trying to ask is, what is the most powerful 12 gauge tactical shotgun for under 0?

Mossberg 535. It’s a Mossberg 500 action with a 3.5" chamber. It takes all the same dress up parts as the 500.

WTF? Did you just graduate from video games or something?
Ew, don’t say "tactical". It’s gross kinda. 3 1/2 isn’t generally considered for a "tactical" application…. it’s more for waterfowling ie: ducks and geese. Turkeys too, i guess. I reckon you are in for a custom build. I think you can get a remmy pump or autoloader "combo"….mossberg has em….. don’t know about that word "tactical"…. Sketchy!
Something like this might be more up your alley….

Go with the 870 3.5" super mag camo duck or turkey version. Its under 700.00. The 870 is your best bet.

I agree with randkl.
The Mossberg 535 is an excellent shotgun for hunting and for home defense. Consider the Mossberg 535 ATS. It has both a stock and pistol grip, and I believe it also shoots those big 3 1/2" shells.
