What’s a good, inexpensive pump shotgun, used for target shooting primarily?
I would prefer synthetic stock, 12ga, 28" barrel…might keep under the bed if a shorter barrel option is available

You can’t go wrong with a Remington 870 Express. I’ve had both the 870 and Mossberg 500 and prefer the fit, feel, and function of the 870. I know others that prefer the 500. It’s all in what feels best to YOU. Either one is a great choice and there are many accessories for both.
What type of target shooting are you going to be doing? Clay targets? Paper targets at Turkey shoots? Some other type?
remingtom 870 would be the best bang for the buck or a mossberg 500

The Maverick I bought a 20 in. with pistol grip collapsible stock for 185.00.
Mossberg has a combination model. It comes with a short and long barrel…… This can usualy be had for under $299 on sale
I have four 870’s and one is pushing 55 years old now. They are the best pump guns ever made.
i bought an 870 3" mag that i keep in my truck. sometimes if i happen to see pheasants and there are in season i pull over and take a couple. sometimes if im near the gun club and they are shooting and i dont want to go get my trap gun i just grab that 870 from my truck and shoot. it is a great all around gun! i have even shot coyotes with buckshot and hunted deer with slugs one year.
Mossberg 500 or Remington 870. Both are good guns for the money.

winchester has some for around 300
I think a remington 870 or anything winchester, some people like savage guns too.
