What's YOUR favorite Shotgun?
I would have to say my Ithaca 37, It is known to be my very first shotgun. I know for sure it is an older model due to the Magazine nut pin, which was used for leverage to screw or unscrew the magazine nut, and also having low matching serial numbers on barrel and receiver. I know the later models didn’t have the magazine nut pin. i think they discontinued that part sometime in 1956. It’s in really great condition over all, but the bluing has been worn down. Its been well taken care of long before i had it, and still is being taken care of by me. It is the slickest action i have ever felt in any shotgun, trigger pull is crisp, i can easily place 4 rounds in the mag tube quickly, and this model can slam fire, which i’ve done a couple times with ease, i can shoot this shotgun faster than any semi auto shotgun i’ve fired, it’s that great. So tell me, what are is your favorite shotgun? If i had a 2nd and 3rd choice, it would be the Wincester Model 12, and Remington 870.
I know what you mean be bferg. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion on what’s there personal favorites

My all time favorite is the Browning A5. I bought my first one in 1962, and still have it, a "Light 12"..In ’71 and ’74, I bought A5 3′ mags, one 32 full, one 28 mod….I used them until the total ban on lead for waterfowling…I have since bought two Benelli SBE’s, because of the new shot laws…I like them also, but still use the old Browning’s sometimes, with Bismuth or Tungsten matrix shot….

My old Springfield 16 GA. single. It was my great grandfathers, (and I’m not young). It has a case hardened receiver, and a maple stock. I still hunt with it.

I believe that my Remington 870 express magnum 12 gauge is the best shotgun at any price. I’ve shot tons of rounds through my and it is super easy to clean and so reliable. It hasn’t even had an empty shell get lodged in it ever. Its not the most ornate shotgun ever so unless you like prissy gold plating then go with an 870!

My favourite shotgun is a Baikal .410 single shot, it brakes down into three pieces and fits into you hiking pack. Great for camping trips (and I mean real camping, not going to a camp ground)

High Standard mod. 10
A bullpup semi-auto riot gun that I think is the perfect all-around home defense weapon.
And it shocks me speechless that there is one on GunBroker right now for only $320. . . . an absolute STEAL at TWICE the price!

Even though I do more hunting with my 870 Express, my favorite shotgun is my Colt standard auto. It was made for Colt by Franchi in 1962 and is the same as the 48 AL model.
It was only sold by Colt from ’62 – ’66 and weighs about 6-1/2 lbs. There were only around 5,300 of them made. It’s a great shooter to this day and I expect to have it as long as I’m around.
<ADDED>
I just gave everyone a Thumbs Up! How could somebody give anyone else a thumbs down on a question asking what another persons favorite shotgun is??????? It doesn’t matter if you agree with any other answer on here, it’s THEIR favorite.
It doesn’t matter whether or not YOU like the brand, model, style, or action on the shotgun THEY said is THEIR favorite.
Their is no wrong answer for this, just people answering a question. So much for people being entitled to their own opinion and deciding what is best for themselves.
Gotta love this place!

Benelli M-1. I used it in the service and loved it so much that I bought one for myself. Expensive, but worth it. I carry it in my cruiser.
