Get a Remington. A Mossberg may outlive it’s current owner, but an 870 will outlive several.

Neither………… The first shotgun has a rifled bore so you cant use skeet / trap or game loads in it…..
The second shotgun has a short barrel which is not suited for any kind of hunting I can think of — That shotguns for defense…..
What you want is a Mossberg 500 all purpose field shotgun….. Its a catalog # 50120…. Its a smooth bore so its well suited for skeet and just change the choke and you can fire slugs thru it to hunt deer….
