Will a model 500 Mossberg riffled barrel fit on and model 88 mossberg maverick ?

My grandpa and i want to buy rifled barrels for our shotguns he has a model 88 mossberg maverick 12 gauge we went to walmart to order our barrels and they cant order one for the maverick the guy said that he thinks that the model 500 barrel will fit it but wasnt for sure does anyone know FOR SURE if it does or doesnt

Yes the barrels will interchange…. BUT make sure your changing the same type barrels…. A Mossberg 8 shot Persuader 500 barrel will not fit on the Maverick 88 6 shot hunting barrel model… But will fit on the Maverick 88 security…..
If your just switching barrel from a Mossberg 500 hunting model to a Maverick field model then the will interchange… They are the same thing….

Yep, the barrels are interchangable between the 2 models.
The Maverick is just a more affordable version of the model 500.
